Biography

It is with great pleasure that I join Balboa Academy for my second year as a fourth grade teacher.  I received my B.A in Environmental Studies and Visual Arts from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, in 2007.  I have been teaching and gaining fundamental knowledge and insight in my chosen field of education for the last 10 years.  Throughout this time, I have had the opportunity to teach in both  the Spanish, and English language in several different countries, and learn from different environmental settings and backgrounds. (Grades Pre-K to 12th). I have also  been very lucky to have had the opportunity to work and gain experience from great international organizations like Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, MarViva,Big Cat Rescue, Wildlife Conservation Society, and the Caribbean Conservation Corporation.  I hope to further my professional development by earning my Master’s degree in Education in the near future.   I am currently happily married to my husband, Gabriel, and we wish to start a family of our own in the years to come.
